Created for Taikoo Hui, this large-scale Lunar New Year exhibition transformed a landmark luxury retail destination through a culturally inspired spatial narrative. Developed across immersive installations and public-facing environments, the project translated festive storytelling into a cohesive visual language at architectural scale.
Visitors were guided through a sequence of distinct spaces, encountering the narrative gradually as it unfolded across different areas of the mall.

Intangible Cultural Heritage Handcrafted Lanterns
The project combined contemporary art with 800-year-old Foshan lantern craftsmanship, realized in collaboration with artisans from the studio of Master Yang Yurong, a national-level inheritor of this heritage tradition.

Spatial Storytelling:
Eight Steeds from Yaochi
Inspired by the legend of eight celestial steeds descending from Yaochi, the mythical Jade Lake, to bring blessings to the human world, the project created an immersive paradise for the Year of the Horse. Each horse represented a different New Year wish — fortune, career, health, love, wealth, peace, wisdom, and family — inviting visitors on a journey through the space to discover and gather auspicious blessings for the year ahead.

✳︎ A series of events and activations were planned throughout the exhibition.
